Nike FlyKnit – Projection Mapping

Collaborating with Nike on the launch of the Nike Flyknit Lunar2, we created a 4d projection mapping experience on one of Berlin’s largest and most iconic buildings.

The two-minute animation film was projected from 40 projectors on the side of the iconic Mercedes Tower in Berlin and kickstarted a 7km run through the city, led by four-time Olympic gold medalist, Allyson Felix.

Conveying the key message surrounding the Flyknit product range, the film was mapped to the architecture of the facade of the building, mirroring how the trainers ‘fit’ perfectly to your feet, like a second-skin.

It was a hugely ambitious project, involving motion designers, 3D artists and character animators with all the  design, animation and production completed in only four week period.
